How it works

A calm handoff when your team is away.

Nora is an AI receptionist for after-hours and weekend calls. She can also help during a busy stretch, capturing the details your team needs to follow up when they are back.

1. Forward the call

Use your carrier’s supported forwarding controls to send calls to Nora when you choose.

2. Nora takes a message

Nora asks for the caller’s details and keeps the request clear without promising an outcome.

3. You follow up

Review the message desk, decide the next step, and update its status when your team has acted.

Built around real limits

Useful, without overpromising.

Your hours stay yours

Save business hours and a timezone so Nora can describe the schedule you provide. She does not invent tomorrow’s opening time.

Messages, not guarantees

A saved message gives your team a starting point. It is not a completed callback, booking, or guaranteed response.

FAQ

The practical details.

How do I set up Nora?+

Create a Mereti workspace, enter your business details and hours, configure Nora’s instructions, connect a supported phone path, and complete the guided test. Your account and tenant data stay behind authentication throughout setup.

Can I keep my existing business number?+

Yes. Mereti is designed for forwarding from an existing business number. Your carrier must support the forwarding method you choose; Mereti does not change your number or promise that every carrier offers the same controls.

When is Nora most useful?+

Nora is built first for after-hours and weekend calls, and can also support busy periods when your team cannot answer. Set the business hours and timezone that describe your operation so callers receive accurate context.

What does Nora capture?+

Nora takes a message with the caller’s name, callback number, request, and any callback preference the caller gives. The message appears in your Mereti desk for you to review and follow up on. Nora does not complete the callback for you.

Does Nora book appointments?+

No booking or completed-callback result is promised. Calendar connection is available in the workspace where supported, but callers should not be told that an appointment or callback has been completed unless your team confirms it.

Are SMS alerts included?+

SMS notifications are not a universal public promise. They depend on verified owner details and provider readiness in your workspace. Mereti shows the current availability before you enable an alert; email or the message desk may be available instead.

What are the call allowances?+

Standard includes 300 call minutes and 100 SMS segments per billing period; Premium includes 800 call minutes and 300 SMS segments per billing period when SMS alerts are available for your verified workspace. Calls are billed in whole-minute increments, overlapping calls are blocked, and there are no overage purchases.

How does concurrency work?+

One admitted call holds the remaining minute allowance while it is active, so overlapping calls are blocked until that call finishes. A final active call may finish naturally beyond the included allowance without an overage charge.

Can I cancel?+

You can manage an active subscription through the secure billing portal in your workspace. The portal shows the server-confirmed cancellation state; your saved business details and message history remain protected by your account controls.

What is not available yet?+

Business website connection is labeled Coming soon. Mereti does not claim 24-hour coverage, guaranteed callbacks, guaranteed bookings, or a response-time promise.
